RSPBA World Pipe Band Championships

Once again Glasgow Green will host the World Pipe Band Championships, brought to you by Culture & Sport Glasgow and The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association.

The Worlds has been associated with Glasgow since 1948 and is a celebration of the very best of Scottish music, culture and dance. Only the Worlds bings together pipers and drummers from around the globe. Bands from 16 different countries including Canada, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Pakistan will travel to Scotand this year with only victory on their minds. The event culminates in a cacophony of sound and colour as thousands of pipers and drummers participate in a mass march past.

Following a second successive triumph in Grade 1 for Northern Ireland's Field Marshall Montgomery Pipe Band, it will require a stellar performance from the rest to overcome the challenge of the world's best!

General Tickets go on sale 17th March 2008 and Grade 1 Seating tickets will be available from early May.
